I live in LaSalle, MI and recently retired from the State of Michigan after 30 yrs in social work.  I've al;ways wanted to paint and decided better late than never to start a new hobby. 

Painting is now a passion & has turned into a daily fun and exciting experience. I bought some art books and have been teaching myself basic drawing & painting techniques.  I've started taking some classes & joined a painting group to keep me painting & learning.

  My favorite subjects to paint are animals, especially dogs. I really love watercolor painting, but am trying my hand now in acrylics.

 

  Once you start painting, you begin to see the world in a different way. You notice details that you've never really seen before, like lights and shadows. The world is there to paint and your subject matter is infinite. You can express any mood or feeling that you want.
